DBScroll - the sophisticated DBGrid

You don't feel quite comfortable with Delphi's database grid?
If so, try DBScroll!

PraxisService has created the DBScroll Grid control as a replacement and enhancement for Delphi's DBGrid.

The grid can look like this.

All used columns (up to 15) are always on the display. If a user resizes one column, other columns are resized automatically so that all columns always fit in the control. A horizontal scrollbar becomes needless. You can always see all informations with a single quick view.

AdvantagesOther advantages of DBScroll in comparison to DBGrid

  • Fast, flicker-free, flexible

  • Multiple lines per row possible

  • Can display multiple database fields in one cell

  • Row height / column width can be changed by mouse

  • Shows the contents of memo database fields

  • Rich formatted text (RTF), saved in memo fields, is automatically decoded and shown as Ansi-Text

  • ScrollBar can be hidden

  • Switch between the indices of the table by clicking the header

  • Supports all colors (also in 256 color modes)

  • It's easy to give individual cells a different color and text

  • Better support for Drag & Drop

  • A Sel(ection)Field shows the text of the current selected cell or row, like a status line

  • Built in SearchBox for incremental search

The box appears over the grid as soon you press a key.

  • Cells can have a margin

  • All mouse events (OnClick, OnMouseDown, OnMouseMove, OnMouseUp) are available and published

  • DBScroll can be used with Delphi 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and C++Builder 1, 3, 4

Try it! Trial version and registrations

We are offering a free Trial-Run component. This free component has the full functionality of the registered version, but can run only when Delphi or C++Builder is also running on the PC. That makes it easy to try this native component (without time limitations). Download DBScroll and test it yourself. Note: The Trial-Run version works at the moment with Delphi 2, Delphi 3 and Borland C++Builder 1 only.

Download a free component for Delphi 2, Delphi 3 and Borland C++Builder here:

click here to get Extended IDE

Extended IDE (9.108 Byte) is an enhancement of Delphi's and Borland C++Builder's ObjectInspector.

As you know some properties have sub-properties. These properties start with a "+" in the left column. If you select such a property and press the "+" key at the keyboard, nothing happens. The only way to get access to the sub-properties is to double click with the mouse on it.

Solution: Install Ext_IDE as a component in Delphi or Borland C++Builder. From now on sub-properties are available by pressing the "+" or Return key.
